The major auction houses held live-streamed fine art sales in Paris and London this week with some strong results, including the £7.6 million (US$9.8 million) sale of Banksy’s Show me the Monet, at Sotheby’s and the £12.9 million sale of David Hockney ’s Portrait of Sir David Webster, at Christie’s, which raised funds for the Royal Opera House in London.
